Congressional Candidate Bob Turner Speaks With VIN News

VIN News – Brooklyn, NY – In a follow up to last week’s exclusive VIN News video interview with democratic congressional candidate David Weprin, VIN News talks with businessman Bob Turner, the republican contender in the upcoming September 13th primary for Anthony Weiner’s recently vacated congressional seat in a district that encompasses several largely Jewish neighborhoods. Endorsed by former mayor Ed Koch as the candidate who will be the most effective ally to Israel, the 70 year old former cable company executive calls Israel America’s “outpost in that area” and insists that the United States must respect Israel’s sovereignty. Turner also maintains that developing democracy and true freedom in the Arab world is of great importance and will benefit both Israel and the Western world. Turner explains his economic views including why he is in favor of tax breaks and credits for private school parents and why it is important for the government to invest money in the private sector and small businesses.

@mrbb33 Weprin wants the deficit to grow? Wow, you are severely disillusioned. Weprin wants to raise taxes on those who SHOULD be paying more taxes because of their larger incomes. Weprin wants to get rid of the very tax cuts that helping the deficit grow, ones that Turner supports. By the way, there is absolutely no way to have a budget cut of 35%, as Turner advocates, without severely changing or getting rid of Social Security. It’s an impossibility.

He is lying through his teeth. He supports leaders in Congress who would end Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. Who cares if he pretends that he himself doesn’t? It’s clearly a political ploy to convince seniors to vote for him. His words have no substance; they are simply inspiring phrases he thinks people wanna hear. If he wins, we’re screwed. Don’t let this happen.
